Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow city is now ready to get country’s first-ever sleeper Vande Bharat Express. This high-speed AC sleeper train will connect the capital of Uttar Pradesh with Mumbai city. This will provide a faster, more comfortable travel experience for thousands of passengers. After months of surveys and trial, railway authorities have finalized the new route. The official train timetable is expected to be announced in June.
Lucknow-Mumbai Sleeper Vande Bharat Train Stoppages
Accoding to the reports, the New Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will travel from Lucknow to Mumbai via Hardoi, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly Junction, Rampur, Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Hazrat Nizamuddin, and Agra cities. The train is proposed to have 20 coaches, including AC First, Second, and Third Class, along with two SLR (Seating-cum-Luggage Rake) coaches. It will help approx 1,200 passengers in their daily travel.

At present running trains the Bareilly-Lokmanya Tilak Express and Ramnagar-Bandra Express frequently face seat shortages, overcrowd etc problems. Railways hoping the new sleeper Vande Bharat train will reduce the overcrowd prblem and will also provide a good travel experience for passengers. Railway officials claim that the new train will run faster than existing Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express trains.
Hon’ble Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi inagurated India’s first run of Varanasi to New Delhi Vande Bharat in 2019. Now two Vande Bharat trains are running between Varanasi and New Delhi, benefiting thousands of passengers daily.
