Which details are needed to be updated?

Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has officially extended the deadline for activating Universal Account Numbers (UAN) and seeding bank accounts with Aadhaar under the Employees’ Life Insurance (ELI) Scheme. EPFO set new deadline till June 30 for employers to comply with these mandatory norms.

According to a latest circular issued by the EPFO Head Office in New Delhi (No: EL/UANActivation/2025/930083, dated May 30, 2025), this deadline extension allows more time for establishments to meet compliance targets. Employers have been asked to take neeful actions through special drives and camps to complete pending UAN activations and Aadhaar seeding with bank accounts for employees.

EPFO aims to ensure 100% UAN activation and bank account seeding with Aadhaar for benefit disbursement and ensure transparency in employee welfare schemes.
